Find two examples from each of the four Africa poems that might bear on your guiding question (eight examples); do one row of a chart for two of the poems. (Two rows in total.)
The guiding question: each of the poems is in part about the relationship between Africa and the United States. Which poem is the happiest about that relationship? Which poem is the least happy?

Go back to the excerpt called "Jealousy" by Anne Lamott. As you did for "The Book of My Friend Has Been Remaindered," find five places where you see irony, quote them, and write a sentence or two of explanation in each case. If you're having trouble, email me please.
